I've been to New York plenty of times, but this was my first time seeing a portion of their homeless population. I was quite fascinated with the gathering of folks at this church. I was walking back to my hotel after an evening at the theatre and dinner, so the time was close to midnight. The photo of the man just above stole my heart. His head was bobbing, but he never lost his position. People should not be homeless in this country.
Yes, indeed. Reality sucks! This is the NYC that's never seen on picture postcards. This is the sad reality for far too many people. I've written of it numerous times. But, as they say, 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' You, my Sista, are VERY GIFTED!
