A Parting...

The day after a huge storm here in N. California, I set out to find evidence of mother nature's work. Unimpressed with most everything that I saw, I was fascinated by this one body of water. It appeared to be a parting of the...algae (as opposed to Moses' parting of the red sea).

Autumn

Not one who is known for celebrating Halloween (and most other American customs), I decided to make a huge sacrifice and surprised a friend with a trip to Moore's Pumpkin Patch in Pleasanton, CA. Instead of reveling in ghost and goblins, I took in the autumn air, vibrant colors, and sheer enjoyment of the moment.

The Vault

The wine cellar at The Firehouse Restaurant in downtown Sacramento. 8,000+ bottles of wine chill in their cellar.

This is my favorite shot. I love the angles.

Traveling Editor

Since graduate school, I have been the designated editor for my friends' writing assignments. Not too long ago, a close friend asked me to help edit her manuscript. What an honor and project! I am constantly noticing spelling and grammar mistakes. I simply can't help it. I am a traveling editor. With that said, take a gander at these signs and let me know if you see what I see. Love it!

This sign is placed in the front window of a taqueria on 16th St. in the Mission.

This one here is used as a cautionary sign at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

This lovely sign is on the front of a shop in downtown Oakland.

Natural Flow

I love how plants and flowers grow, spontaneously, anywhere. The natural flow of this vine on this building is beautiful.

Riverwalk in Reno

Who knew that such a beautiful and peaceful area existed in Reno, NV? I know I didn't. This is definitely my new summer spot. We walked the Riverwalk area one evening, and I took a jog along the river the following morning. The river sparkled as the morning sun touched it's face.
